Eileen Opatut is a Boomer and Empty Nester who has downsized not once, but twice! She had to sort through all the “stuff” her family had collected and say goodbye to the perennial gardens she’d worked on for 20 years. Eileen is happy to say that she loves her new downsized life. She doesn’t worry about cashflow, retirement, or helping her children as they start out in the world. She’s also been able to use the money she’s saving to travel the world. Along the way she’s picked up tons of tips and tricks that she wishes were available to her when she went thru her own downsize. She plans on sharing everything she knows with everyone who needs it.
And even though she spends lots of time with downsizers, she’s extremely successful working with brand new home buyers and up-sizers. Eileen is a listener and takes a very personal hands on approach to all of her clients’ needs.
Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Eileen worked in the television industry. She was EVP, Production and Programming for Food Network, SVP Development/Production for Logo, EVP Sales and Co-productions for BBC Worldwide Americas, beginning down the totem pole at Nickelodeon.
In addition to traditional real estate, Eileen renovates and builds homes in and around the Montclair area. This knowledge base helps her when she works with buyers and sellers giving out informed recommendations and pricing for any renovations or fix-it needs being considered.
